Sounders FC Roster Update from Preseason Camp in Mexico City

February 11, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Seattle Sounders FC News Release

SEATTLE, WASH. - With Sounders FC's 2020 preseason continuing this week from Mexico City, the club prepares for a pair of preseason matches tomorrow, February 12, against Mexican sides Club Atlético Zacapatec (8:30 a.m. PT) and the Pumas UNAM U-20s (10:30 a.m. PT). Both matches are being played at the Mexican National Team training facility, where the Rave Green are holding camp until heading to San Pedro Sula, Honduras for a Scotiabank Champions League match vs. CD Olimpia on Thursday, February 20.

Sounders FC's roster sits at 22 players, including three goalkeepers, six defenders, eight midfielders and five forwards. The club currently has three Designated Players, seven International Players and five Homegrown Players.

In addition to those currently signed to First Team contracts, Brian Schmetzer's preseason roster includes players currently signed to Tacoma Defiance (the club's USL side), unsigned SuperDraft picks, Sounders FC Academy players and trialists.

Please note that not all players listed on the full preseason roster are present with the club in Mexico City at all times due to scheduling matters, injuries or other unspecified reasons.
