Augusta Lynx News Release
The Augusta Lynx notched a pair of 5-2 wins over Florence and Columbia while earning a shootout point against Florida on Saturday night by a 4-3 count.
2/19 Florence 2 @ Augusta 5
Augusta jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Pride Thursday night on a pair of goals by Todd Bennett and a single marker from Scott Corbett. Florence rallied for a pair of their own but Matt Dzieduszycki and Jonathan Gagnon iced the game for the Lynx, who scored three power play and one shorthanded goal. Gregg Naumenko stopped 28 shots for the win.
2/20 Florida 4 @ Augusta 3 (SOL)
A scoreless first period gave way to three power play goals, two for Florida and one off the stick of Matt Dzieduszycki for a 2-1 Everblades lead after the second period. Paul Vincent made it 3-1 in the third before Todd Bennett and Terry Marchant scored in the final minute of regulation to push the game to a tie after three periods of play. Florida would take the win in the shootout, scoring on two of four shooters.
2/21 Augusta 5 @ Columbia 2
Columbia jumped out in front 2-0 on a pair of power play goals, but Augusta came back with five unanswered tallies for a 5-2 win. Louis Goulet started the scoring, followed by Jonathan Gagnon, Brad Fraser, Terry Marchant, and Scott Kelman. Gregg Naumenko made 19 saves to earn his third straight win.
