Fresno Falcons News Release

Feb. 16 vs. Alaska, 5-4 Overtime Loss â The Falcons played from behind nearly the entire game, trailing three times by a single goal. Michael Kiesman's 11th of the season with under five minutes to play in regulation tied the game at four, helping Fresno reach overtime for the seventh time this season. Alaska claimed victory just :30 seconds into the extra session when Kimbi Daniels banked a centering pass off the skate of a Falcons defenseman that eluded goaltender Mike Brusseau for the 5-4 overtime win.

They were down, 3-2, after two to the Wranglers before Mike Mathers and Drew Schoneck scored, giving Fresno a 4-3 lead mid-way through the final period. Las Vegas would tie the game late in regulation before the Falcons prevailed in the eighth round of the shootout off a goal by Tapio Sammalkangas to defeat the Wranglers for the first time this year in six tries.
Feb. 21 @ San Diego, 5-3 Win â Fresno ended the Gulls' league season-high 14-game home winning streak behind 51 saves from goaltender Terry Friesen.
