LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 2-0-1 OVERALL RECORD: 15-30-6, 36 pts.

Feb. 16 vs. Alaska, 5-4 Overtime Loss – The Falcons played from behind nearly the entire game, trailing three times by a single goal. Michael Kiesman's 11th of the season with under five minutes to play in regulation tied the game at four, helping Fresno reach overtime for the seventh time this season. Alaska claimed victory just :30 seconds into the extra session when Kimbi Daniels banked a centering pass off the skate of a Falcons defenseman that eluded goaltender Mike Brusseau for the 5-4 overtime win.

Feb. 20 vs. Las Vegas, 5-4 Shootout Win – For the first time in 29 tries this season, the Falcons overcame a deficit entering the third period. They were down, 3-2, after two to the Wranglers before Mike Mathers and Drew Schoneck scored, giving Fresno a 4-3 lead mid-way through the final period. Las Vegas would tie the game late in regulation before the Falcons prevailed in the eighth round of the shootout off a goal by Tapio Sammalkangas to defeat the Wranglers for the first time this year in six tries.

Feb. 21 @ San Diego, 5-3 Win – Fresno ended the Gulls' league season-high 14-game home winning streak behind 51 saves from goaltender Terry Friesen. Four different goal scorers helped the Falcons take a 4-3 lead before Mike Mathers tallied an empty-netter for his second of the game to seal a 5-3 victory.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

Tuesday, Feb. 24 @ Las Vegas, 7 p.m. – Fresno tries to match a season-high three-game winning streak (live radio broadcast on KAAT 103.1 FM at 6:50 p.m. beginning with the Shop and Go Pre-game Show).

Wednesday, Feb. 25 vs. San Diego, 7 p.m. – The Falcons try to make it three straight wins against the Pacific Division's top team.

Friday, Feb. 27 vs. Bakersfield, 7 p.m. – The ZOOperstars entertain between periods and $5 of every $10 balcony seat sold will be donated to The Chaffee Zoo.

Saturday, Feb. 28 @ Long Beach, 7 p.m. – The Falcons have a chance to make-up ground on the team they trail most closely in the standings (live radio broadcast on KAAT 103.1 FM at 6:50 p.m. beginning with the Shop and Go Pre-game Show).

Sunday, Feb. 29 @ Las Vegas, 5 p.m. – Fresno visits Las Vegas for the second time this week to complete a stretch of five games in six days (live radio broadcast on KAAT 103.1 FM at 4:50 p.m. beginning with the Shop and Go Pre-game Show).

NOTES
· Friesen's 51 saves on Saturday were a team season-high.
· Friday and Saturday's victories marked the team's first back-to-back wins since its first two games of 2004.
· Fresno's current four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) is its longest of the season.
· The Falcons are 19th (16.0%) on the power play this season and 23rd (80.8%) on the penalty kill.
· Fresno begins the week in last place in the Pacific Division, six points behind the sixth-place Long Beach Ice Dogs and 9 points behind the fifth-place Bakersfield Condors. They are currently 26 points out of the division's fourth and final playoff position.
