DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced today that the Iowa Stars have recalled Center D'Arcy McConvey from their ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads. White also announced that Iowa has released Center Aaron Slattengren from his Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

The 5-10, 195-pound McConvey departs Idaho as the ECHL's leading scorer, registering 86 points in 58 games. His 39 goals are also tops in the ECHL: 58(39/47/86). The second-year pro has notched 24 points in his last 11 games. The former ECHL Player of the Week for the period ending March 19th has appeared in eight total games for Iowa, accumulating eight penalty minutes: 8(0/0/0)8.

Named a starter on the ECHL's 2006 National Conference All-Star Team, he skated for the Columbia Inferno (ECHL) in the 2004-05 season. While with Columbia, he tallied 23 goals and 31 assists: 60(23/31/54).

The 6-1, 195-pound native of Duluth, Minnesota, Slattengren (SLAHT-en-gren) appeared in just one game for Iowa during his ATO. He recorded no points in the April 1st game in Cleveland. A four-year product of Colorado College, he accumulated 88 points, 43 goals and 45 assists, in 145 games for the Tigers: 145(43/45/88).

STARS NEXT GAMES: The Iowa Stars play in Omaha against the Knights on April 7th. Game time is 7:00 PM. Iowa's next home game is Tuesday, April 11th against Chicago. Game time is 7:05 PM.
