Center Dan Fritsche Reassigned to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (April 4, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned center Dan Fritsche to the Crunch.

Fritsche, 20, has appeared in 52 games with Columbus this season 18 games, tallying 4 goals, 5 assists and 22 penalty minutes. In 18 games with Syracuse this season, Fritsche has recorded 3 goals, 4 assists and 12 penalty minutes.

A second round selection, 46th overall, by the Blue Jackets at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Fritsche has recorded 5 goals and 5 assists in 71 career NHL games. A native of Parma, Ohio, he represented Team USA at the 2004 and 2005 World Junior Championships, winning a gold medal in 2004 and scoring 5 goals and 6 assists in 13 games during the two tournaments. In 2004-05, he helped the London Knights capture the Memorial Cup championship.
