
Standing Room Only Crowd Watches Walleye Come up Short

(Toledo, OH) A Huntington Center record crowd of 8,317 watched Toledo lose to Adirondack 1-0. Toledo has an overall record of 4-4-0-1 and is 0-1-0-0 at home.
The Thunder took a 1-0 lead when Mitchell Heard beat Jeff Lerg with a wrist shot on the power play at 13:47 of the first period. Toledo dominated the second period by outshooting Adirondack 15-7 but couldn't solve goaltender Ken Appleby.
Shane Berschbach had a breakaway midway through the second period that was stopped and nearly trickled into the back of the net. Toledo finished the game with a flurry of chances in the third period but Appleby stopped all 31 shots that the Walleye sent his way.
