BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers fell to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Tuesday night by a final score of 8-0. Wisconsin put six runs on the board in the sixth putting the game out of reach and setting the table for the rubber match tomorrow night.

The Timber Rattlers would get the scoring started in the ballgame tonight, striking in the first inning to take the early 1-0 lead. Wisconsin would score their first run unconventionally to say the least.

The T-Rats would get a 1-out single from Yeison Coca who would then steal second base and advance to third on a throwing error. Shortly after, Coca would cross home plate after a wild pitch giving Wisconsin the early one-run advantage.

Adam Reuss would get his second start of the season for Beloit and threw well in the game.

Reuss was removed after four and two-thirds innings surrendering just 1 run, which was unearned, and striking out 3. Bryce Nightengale would take over for Reuss getting out of a small jam with a runner on and two away.

In the sixth inning, Wisconsin would get 6 runs busting the game wide open and ultimately being a difference maker in the ballgame on Tuesday night.

With one out in the sixth, the Timber Rattlers would get five straight baserunners on driving in three runs. But, the Timber Rattlers were not done there, as they would get a sacrifice fly to make the game 5-0.

Extending the inning, Wisconsin would get two singles from Connor McVey and Brice Turang that would plate a run each pushing the Timber Rattlers lead to 7-0 after six innings of play. In the final three innings of play, Wisconsin would plate one more run rounding out the scoring for the Timber Rattlers.

For Beloit offensively, Cobie Vance had another solid day in the batters box going 1 for 3 with a walk extending his on-base streak to 11 games. Payton Squier would also continue his on-base streak to seven games after collecting a hit in his third at bat of the game and a walk in his last AB.

Six Snappers would record hits in the contest tonight, but it was not enough as Beloit would eventually fall to Wisconsin by a final score of 8-0. page 2 of 2

The series will be decided tomorrow with the rubber match between the Snappers and the Timber Rattlers set to take place at 6:30 inside the friendly confines of Pohlman Field.

Right-handed hurler Bryce Conley is scheduled to get his third start of the season. Conley is yet to record a decision on the year, but was solid in his last outing throwing 5 innings and surrendering just one run, while striking out four and giving up just two hits.

Conley's counterpart will be southpaw Aaron Ashby who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2018 MLB Draft. Ashby is 0-1 on the year with 7.00 ERA giving up 7 runs in 9 innings of work.
