
Shiskanov Traded to St. Louis

Milwaukee, WI- Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced tonight that the club has acquired center Mike Sillinger from the St. Louis Blues for forward Timofei Shishkanov.
Shishkanov leaves the Admirals as the team's fourth leading scorer with 29 points (14g-15a), in addition to his 34 penalty minutes and +3 rating. His power-play goals (8) were tied for second on the team and his 14 goals ranked third.
A member of the Admirals 2004 Calder Cup Championship team, Shishkanov had 57 goals and 50 assists for 107 points and 111 PIMs in 159 career games with the Admirals. Nashville's second round pick in the 2001 NHL Draft played in two games for the Preds in the 03-04 season.
Shishkanov will look to make his debut as a member of the Blues on Monday, January 30th when St. Louis hosts the Calgary Flames.
Sillinger, 34 (6/29/71), is one of only 35 players in the NHL this season with 20-or-more goals (22). He leads the Blues in goals, including a team-high 11 power-play markers, and ranks second on the club with 41 points (22g-19a-41pts) in 48 games. The Regina, Sask. native also leads St. Louis and ranks among NHL leaders with a face-off winning percentage of 55.3% (441-356).
