Houston Aeros News Release

HOUSTON, Texas - The National Hockey League's Florida Panthers have returned center Petr Taticek to the American Hockey League's Houston Aeros, the teams announced Monday. In addition, the Aeros have loaned defenseman Aaron Schneekloth to the Austin Ice Bats of the Central Hockey League.

Taticek, 22 (9/22/83), was acquired on loan from the Panthers on October 15. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound native of Rakovnik, Czech Republic, has posted career-bests in points (26), goals (nine) and assists (17) in just 34 games with the Aeros. He tied Houston's franchise record with a nine-game assist streak December 17-January 12. Florida selected Taticek in the first round (No. 9 overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Taticek played in three games with the Panthers - the first NHL action of his career - without recording a point.

Schneekloth, 27 (7/15/78), had one assist in six games in his stint with the Aeros. He was recalled from the Ice Bats on January 20. Schneekloth notched 19 points (8-11=19) and 51 penalty minutes in 35 games with the Ice Bats. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Calgary, Alta., has 64 games of AHL experience to his credit, with eight points (1-7=8). The Aeros signed Schneekloth as a free agent on September 20, 2005.
