Sat., Jan. 28 (at) Houston 5, Chicago 4 --- The Wolves bounced back from three deficits - including a two-goal second period hole - before dropping a 5-4 decision against the Houston Aeros at the Toyota Center --- Right wing RAMZI ABID paced the club with a goal and two assists while forwards PAT DWYER (G, A) and KIP MILLER (2A) and defenseman MARK POPOVIC (G, A) each chipped in multiple points --- Goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT recorded 11 saves

Fri., Jan. 27 (at) San Antonio 3, Chicago 2 --- The Wolves erased a 2-1 first-period deficit before yielding a late goal, as they were defeated, 3-2, by the San Antonio Rampage at the AT&T Center --- Right wing SCOTT BARNEY netted both of Chicago's goals --- Goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT recorded 15 saves

--- MARK POPOVIC: Registered three points in his last two games, which includes matching a season-high two points (PPG, A) on Saturday against Houston ... Paces team defensemen and shares sixth on the Wolves with 23 points in 41 games, one shy of matching the career-high 24 he set in 73 games with the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in 2002-03, his rookie year ... Tallied a career-high seven goals this year after entering the season with eight goals in 221 career AHL games

--- RAMZI ABID: Posted one goal and two assists on Saturday after being held scoreless in each of his previous two games ... Shares fourth in the AHL with a team-high 13 power-play goals and 12th with a team-most 48 points ... Paces the club with 23 goals - three shy of equaling the career-high 26 he set in 78 games with the AHL's Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins last season - and 25 assists

--- SCOTT BARNEY: Matched a season-high two goals on Friday after missing his previous 16 games due to injury ... Ranks second on the Wolves with seven power-play markers and is tied for second with 12 goals in 19 games, third-fewest among active players ... Tallied 10 of his 12 markers on the road this season

--- PAT DWYER: Registered a season-high two points on Saturday after being held without a point in his previous three outings ... Shares fourth on the club with 24 points in 40 games ... Paces team rookies and ranks sixth on the Wolves with 10 goals ... Tied for first on the squad and second among AHL rookies with two short-handed markers ... Ranks fourth on the Wolves with five power-play goals

--- KIP MILLER: Tallied two assists on Saturday, his seventh multi-point game of the season ... Ranks second on the squad with 22 assists and 30 points in 36 contests this season ... Paces the Wolves and shares sixth in the AHL with a team-high five first goals

--- JARED ROSS: Collected three goals in his last five games - which includes a marker on Saturday - after accruing three in his previous 21 tilts ... Shares third on the Wolves with 16 assists and a +8 plus/minus rating and fourth with 24 points in 36 outings ... Notched three goals and eight points in 12 games with the UHL's Motor City Mechanics during his pro debut last year

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves have lost four straight games, one shy of matching a season high; the losing streak has dropped the team a season-low four games below .500 for the second time this year.

--- Saturday's loss to Houston marked just the fourth time the team has lost in regulation when scoring four or more goals this year (14-4-0-4).

--- Twenty of Chicago's 44 games this season (45.5 percent) have been decided by one goal, which includes losses in each of their last four games decided by one marker (0-3-0-1).

--- The Wolves will play eight of their next 12 games away from the Allstate Arena.

MOON SHOT

The Wolves outshot their opponents, 80-34, last week and lost both contests. The team has outgunned its rivals in 25 of 44 games this season, earning an 8-12-1-4 record in those outings.

NOTABLE

The Wolves will retire former captain Steve Maltais' No. 11 jersey on Sat., April 15, when they face the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena at 7 p.m. The only player to skate in each of the team's first 11 seasons, Maltais finished his Wolves career as the franchise's all-time leader in goals (454); assists (496); points (950); penalty minutes (1,061) and games played (839).
