(Erie, PA) - The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are pleased to announce the team will host the SeaWolves Bowling Bash at Greengarden Lanes on Thursday, June 21. The bowling fundraiser will take place from 6 pm - 8:30 pm with proceeds benefiting United Way of Erie County, a leader in addressing poverty by creating opportunities in areas of education, income and health.

The event will feature SeaWolves players, one at each bowling lane, interacting with event guests, signing autographs, and posing for pictures. The event will also include door prizes and a memorabilia silent auction.

The SeaWolves Bowling Bash is a joint fundraising effort between the team and the SeaWolves Student Ambassadors. The SeaWolves Student Ambassador Program, presented by Gannon University Sport Management & Marketing, provides area high school students with opportunities to learn about careers in sports and participate in community service projects such as the SeaWolves Bowling Bash.

Each participant will receive up to three games of bowling, shoe rental, a raffle ticket, and pizza, for a registration fee of $25. Space is extremely limited. Interested bowlers can register by calling Rachel O'Connor at 814-456-1300 or e-mailing rachelo@seawolves.com. Additional details are available at seawolves.com.

"We look forward to bringing the fans and players together to support United Way of Erie County," said SeaWolves President Greg Coleman. "We'd like to thank the Student Ambassadors, Gannon University, the Detroit Tigers, Greengarden Lanes, and SeaWolves fans and sponsors for their support of this exciting event."

The SeaWolves host the Bowie Baysox at 12:05 pm on June 21 with the bowling event to follow that evening.
