SERIES AT A GLANCE: The Flying Squirrels will look for a season-high fourth consecutive win when they square off against the Harrisburg Senators in the opener of a three-game series at The Diamond tonight. On Sunday afternoon, Daniel Mayora went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases and Nick Liles went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs as Richmond defeated Bowie 5-4 and earned a series victory over the Baysox. It was Mayora's team-best 13th multi-hit game of the season and he extended his current hit streak to 9 games, which matches the team-best streak he posted from April 14 through April 24. The Flying Squirrels went 13-8 against Harrisburg in 2011 including a 10-5 mark in the River City. Richmond is 18-15 all-time against the Senators and the club is 10-8 all-time at The Diamond. The two teams will meet 20 times in 2012, 10 times in Harrisburg and 10 times in Richmond. The Flying Squirrels swept Harrisburg in an abbreviated two-game series at Metro Bank Park last week.

Following this three-game series, the Flying Squirrels and Senators will meet again at Metro Bank Park for a five-game series, which includes a make-up game that will be part of a doubleheader, July 12-15.

TODAY'S PITCHERS: RHP Craig Westcott vs. RHP Paul Demny Westcott: Makes his eighth start of the season for the Flying Squirrels tonight. In his last start, Westcott allowed six hits and one earned run along with two walks and one strikeout in a season-high seven innings pitched at Harrisburg Wednesday. He hit his first professional home run and earned the win in Richmond's 8-2 triumph. Tonight's game will be his third career start against Harrisburg. He is 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA (3 ER/12.0 IP) against the Senators. After splitting the 2010 season between Advanced-A San Jose and Richmond, Westcott spent the entire 2011 campaign back in San Jose. Westcott enjoyed a banner year in the California League as he posted a 13-4 record with a 3.42 ERA in 25 appearances, including 24 starts. His 13 wins tied for the most in the Cal League and he finished fourth in the circuit in ERA (3.42). As a result, Westcott was named both a Mid-Season and Postseason All- Star. He was also a Mid-Season All-Star in the Cal League in 2010 after going 6-0 with a miniscule 1.83 ERA in 13 starts with San Jose before being promoted to Richmond. Westcott did not enjoy the same level of success with the Flying Squirrels however, as he compiled a 3-3 mark with a 5.13 ERA in the second half of the season. He owns a record of 32-9 with a 3.40 ERA in 72 career minor league appearances, including 64 starts. The Chalmette, LA native was selected by the Giants in the 30th round of the 2009 June Draft out of Belhaven (MS) College.

Demny: Makes his eighth start of the season today. In his last start, Demny allowed five hits and five earned runs along with three walks and seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched against the Flying Squirrels Wednesday. He took the loss in Harrisburg's 8-2 setback.

Demny is in his first season with the Senators. The right-hander spent the entire 2011 season with Advanced-A Potomac. He went 10-10 with a 4.32 ERA in 26 starts with the P-Nats. Demny led the Carolina League in home runs allowed (18) and finished fourth in innings pitched (143.2). He spent the 2010 season with Low-A Hagerstown and compiled a 6-10 record with a 4.23 ERA in 27 starts. In 2009, Demny went 3-11 with a 5.14 ERA in 23 starts with Hagerstown. He has a career record of 25-32 with a 4.38 ERA in 93 appearances, including 88 starts. Demny was originally selected by the Braves in the 15th round of the 2007 June Draft.

He did not sign with Atlanta and was selected by Washington in the 6th round of the 2008 June Draft out of Blinn (TX) Junior College.

WINNING RECORD: Sunday's win put the Flying Squirrels above the .500 mark (19-18) for the first time since April 15 when Richmond was 6-5, the only other point this season the club has had a winning record. Tonight's game provides an opportunity for the Flying Squirrels to climb two games above .500 for the first time in 2012.

ME GUSTA MAYORA: After going 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases Sunday, Daniel Mayora extended his current hit streak to nine games, which matches the longest streak of any Flying Squirrels batter this season (Mayora had a nine-game hit streak from April 14 through April 24). He is hitting .387 (12-for-31) over the course of the streak with four doubles, five RBIs, six runs scored and two stolen bases. Mayora has a team-leading 13 multi-hit games on the season. In his first season in the Giants organization, the veteran third baseman is hitting .315 with 17 RBIs.

CLOSE CALLS: Sunday's 5-4 triumph over Bowie was Richmond's 8th one-run victory of the season. The Flying Squirrels are now 8-4 (.667) in one-run contests in 2012 and rank second in the Eastern League in one-run wins, trailing only Akron (10). Additionally, Richmond is 6-4 in two-run games, giving the club a record of 14-8 (.636) in games decided by two runs or less. Richmond's six wins in two-run games trail only Reading and Bowie (7 apiece) in the Eastern League in games decided by two runs.
