Trenton Thunder News Release

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Tuesday that RHP Adam Miller has been transferred to the team from AAA Scranton/Wilkes Barre and that INF Walter Ibarra has been activated from the disabled list. Additionally, starting pitcher Craig Heyer has been placed on the disabled list due to right arm soreness and INF Jose Toussen has been transferred to Class A-Advanced Tampa.

Miller, a former top Indians prospect who was signed by the Yankees as a minor league free agent in January, appeared in five games with Scranton this season and went 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA. He missed the entire 2009 and 2010 seasons while rehabbing from multiple finger surgeries. Miller spent eight seasons in the Indians organization (2003-11) and was named by Baseball America as the organization's top prospect every year from 2005-2008.

Ibarra had missed the last 13 games with a hand injury. Heyer left Sunday's start after only three innings pitched due to the arm soreness. Toussen played in 2 games (1 start) and went 1-for-3 with a double.
