BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a roster move today. OF Ronnie Welty was placed on the Disabled List, retroactive to 5/12. With the move, the Baysox have 24 active players on the 25-man roster and five players on the Disabled List.
Welty is batting .291 (16-55) in 14 games with the Baysox this season. He has recorded seven doubles and six RBIs. While with Advanced-A Frederick to start the season, he was named the Carolina League Player of the Week.
