Toledo Walleye News Release
(Toledo, Ohio) The ECHL announced today that forward Scooter Smith has been named CCM TACKS Player of the Month.
Scooter scored five goals and added six assists in just five October games. His season started with a one goal (game winner), four-assist output in Toledo's opening night 6-5 win against Dayton. Smith followed that performance with a three point (2g,1a) effort the following Wednesday that included the overtime game-winning tally (5-4 Storm). He finished the month with a two-goal performance against Johnstown last Saturday night. Scooter has three multiple point games in the first five contests, and is a plus five. The last Storm player to win Player of the Month Honors was Andrew Williamson in February of 2001.
Toledo hits the road on Friday when it travels to Wheeling. The Storm then
returns home against Victoria Saturday and Reading Sunday. Contact the Storm
