With the anticipation of the playoffs foremost on the fans' minds, a number of players and members of the Royals' organization were honored for their efforts at the elegantly appointed historic venue in a presentation spiced with a sensational audio and visual display. The Royals organization wants to specifically thank all of the fans who attended last night's affair and would also thank all of those who participated in the balloting for the awards.

Gordon Kaye, the general manager of the Royals, then presented a series of the newly instituted General Managers' Awards to the organization's controller Stephanie Schneider, director of ticket sales Tim McGee, and ticket executive Brian Choyka, all of whom have been with the team for the entire five season history of the club. Gordon Kaye then presented a General Manager's Award to Richard Christoff, the president of the Royals Booster Club, for his years of dedicated service to the team.

The focus of the evening then shifted to the eight Fans' Choice Awards, which were determined based upon votes submitted through fan balloting over the last several weeks and were presented as follows: (1) the Heart Award presented by Cardiology Associates of West Reading: Larry Courville; (2) the Offensive Player of the Year presented by Nathaniel Ehrlich, Esq.: Mike Kompon; (3) the Rookie of the Year presented by The Works At Wyomissing: T.J. Kemp; (4) the Defensive Player of the Year presented by V&M Towing: Eric Werner; (5) the Ironman Award presented by DeCarlo Custom Cabinetry: Malcolm MacMillan; (6) the Unsung Hero Award presented by Freymoyer's Hotel and Restaurant: Tyler Hanchuck; (7) the Most Valuable Player Award presented by Auto Spa of Wyomissing: Doug Christiansen; and (8) the Fans Choice Award presented by the Reading Eagle: Cody Rudkowsky.
