
Stepp Called up to AHL Chicago

Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Joel Stepp has been called up to the Gladiators AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. It is Stepp's third call up to the AHL this season.
Stepp was acquired by the Atlanta Thrashers on March 1st from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in exchange for Jani Hurme and immediately assigned to the Gladiators.
In 16 games this season with the Gladiators, Stepp has posted 3 goals and 12 assists for 15 points. The Estevan, Saskatchewan native has posted points in 11 of 16 games he has appeared in with Gwinnett.
Before being acquired by Atlanta, Stepp split time between Augusta and AHL Portland. Stepp posted 13 goals and 26 assists for 39 points in 38 games with the Lynx while he has recorded 3 points in 17 AHL games this season with Portland.
Stepp should be available for the Wolves for their 8:30 p.m. start tomorrow night in Peoria against the Rivermen.
The Gwinnett Gladiators, who have already clinched a first round bye in the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs, continue the 2005-06 ECHL season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Friday, April 7th as they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
