Rampage Finish Season With 1-0 Victory

SAN ANTONIO (April 10, 2011)- The San Antonio Rampage ended the year on a high note as goaltender Joe Fallon blanked the Texas Stars 1-0 for his first shutout of the season in front of a sold-out crowd of 9,909 fans at the AT&T Center on Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday afternoon.

The Rampage conclude the 2010-11 season with a 40-33-4-3 record good for 87 points. The Rampage's 40 wins marks the second time in franchise history that they have reached this milestone where their 23 home victories ties a franchise high. In addition, San Antonio's 87 points ties them for the second-most points in a season.

San Antonio right wing Viktor Tikhonov scored the lone goal 6:06 after the initial puck drop. Tikhonov skated from the left wing boards to the slot where he fired a shot into the lower left corner of the net for the 1-0 victory. Ned Lukacevic and Nick Ross supplied the assists.

Fallon turned aside all 27 Stars shot attempts while Texas netminder Tyler Beskorowany made 27 saves on 28 Rampage shots on net.
