
Aeros Finish Season With 6-3 Win

HOUSTON --- Warren Peters scored twice and added an assist while Robbie Earl chipped in with three assists as the Houston Aeros closed out the regular season with a 6-3 victory over the Oklahoma City Barons in front of a season-high 11,519 fans in American Hockey League action on Sunday at Toyota Center.
The Aeros scored four times in the second period, including three times on the power play, en route to their fifth win in seven games. Goaltender Matt Hackett turned aside 30 shots in the victory and improved to 13-5-2 on home ice and 23-16-4 overall.
Chad Rau and Patrick O'Sullivan each had a goal and an assist for Houston while Cody Almond's goal with 42 seconds left in the middle stanza stood up as the game-winner.
Colin McDonald had a goal and two assists for the Barons and Mark Arcobello delivered a goal and one assist.
The Aeros begin the Calder Cup Playoffs at home this Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. Game 2 is set for Friday at Toyota Center with a 7:35 p.m. puck drop.
