Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs in conjunction with the American Hockey League and Oklahoma City Barons are pleased to announce the dates and times for the upcoming North Division Semi-Final between the âDogs and Barons. Tickets for all Bulldogs home games of this round will go on sale tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
The Bulldogs (44-27-2-7) are the North Division regular season champions, for the second consecutive season, which earns the club home-ice advantage through at least the first two rounds of the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Barons (40-29-2-9) finished the regular season in fifth place in the West Division but will cross over to the North Division and take the spot of the fourth place Abbotsford Heat, who finished the season with fewer points than the Barons. The series will begin in Hamilton for Games 1 and 2 before heading to Oklahoma City for Games 3 to 5 and then return to Copps Coliseum for Games 6 and 7 if necessary. This will be the first time the teams have played each other in the playoffs as it is Oklahoma City's first season in the AHL.
