
Rivermen Finish Third; Face Houston in Round 1

Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen have finished the regular season in third place in the West Division and will face the Houston Aeros in the first round of the 2011 Calder Cup playoffs. Playoff tickets for Peoria's home games will go on sale on Monday at 12 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center box office, over the phone at (309) 676-1040 and online through www.rivermen.net.
This is the third playoff berth in the Rivermen AHL era and all three first round matchups have been against the Houston Aeros. The Rivermen were swept in four games in 2006 and lost in seven games in their 2009 appearance. Peoria finished this season with a 4-1-0-1 record against the Aeros but have not faced Houston since Feb. 13.
