
First Round Playoff Schedule Announced

Cleveland Monsters News Release
With the completion of the 2010-11 regular season Sunday night, the American Hockey League has released the schedule for the First Round of the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Lake Erie Monsters will play in the postseason for the first time in the four-year history of the franchise. By finishing second in the Western Conference's North Division (44-28-3-5, 96 points), the Monsters will have home ice in the First Round when they face the third-place Manitoba Moose. The two teams split their season series, 2-2.
The complete First Round schedule is as follows (all times Eastern):
GAME 1: Saturday, April 16th - 12:00 p.m. - at Lake Erie
GAME 2: Sunday, April 17th - 3:00 p.m. - at Lake Erie
GAME 3: Tuesday, April 19th - 8:30 p.m. - at Manitoba
GAME 4: Thursday, April 21st - 8:30 p.m. - at Manitoba
*GAME 5: Friday, April 22nd - 8:30 p.m. - at Manitoba
*GAME 6: Sunday, April 24th - 4:00 p.m. - at Lake Erie
*GAME 7: Tuesday, April 26th - 7:00 p.m. - at Lake Erie

Single game tickets for Games 1 and 2 are on sale now. The first 5,000 fans at Game 1 will receive a free Monsters glow-in-the-dark t-shirt, courtesy of The Ohio Lottery, as well as a Monsters "Hockey Hanky" (rally towel), presented by Time Warner Cable. The first 5,000 fans through the gates at Game 2 will receive a free Monsters-branded wireless device skin, thanks to Verizon, in addition to a Hockey Hanky.
