Pittsburgh Penguins Trade Jonathan Filewich To St. Louis In Exchange For 2010 Draft Pick

The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded forward Jonathan Filewich to St. Louis in exchange for a sixth round draft pick at the 2010 Entry Draft, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.
Filewich, 24 has registered four points (two goals, two assists) and six penalty minutes in 19 games this season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
The 6-2, 205-pound forward appeared in five contests with Pittsburgh last season, including his NHL debut January 21 versus Washington. Filewich has played 243 career games in the AHL with the Penguins, collecting 127 points (64 goals, 63 assists) along with 128 penalty minutes. He has tallied 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) in 35 career playoff games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
The Kelowna, British Columbia native was originally selected by the Penguins in the third round (70th overall) of the 2003 Entry Draft.
