B-Sens Sign Derek Couture And Nathan Lutz; Assign To Elmira

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have signed right-winger Derek Couture and defenseman Nathan Lutz to American Hockey League standard player contracts and loaned both players to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Couture, 24, has 20 goals, 26 assists and 293 penalty minutes in 188 career AHL games with Omaha and Quad City. The Calgary native scored a career-high 10 goals while with Quad City during the 2007-08 season.

Lutz, 30, has two goals, 11 assists and 78 penalty minutes in 113 career AHL games with Chicago, Cleveland, Manitoba, Milwaukee and Portland.
