
Paddock returns, Virtue loaned to Grand Rapids

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announce today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned forward Cam Paddock from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Nailers. Also defenseman Terry Virtue was loaned to the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL.
Paddock, 22, appeared in four games with the Penguins recording two penalty minutes and registering a plus -1. He began the season with the Nailers playing in 46 games while putting up 29 points (9+20) and 71 penalty minutes.
The 6'1 185 pound native of North Vancouver, British Columbia was a fifth round choice (137th overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2002 Entry Draft. In his rookie season last year he appeared in 53 games with the Nailers putting up 29 points (11+18) and 70 penalty minutes.
Virtue, 35, appeared in 54 games this season for the Nailers scoring seven goals and 34 assists with 98 penalty minutes. He returns to the AHL where he spent 13 seasons, and stands among the AHL's all-time leaders with 853 games played (16th overall) and 1,796 penalty minutes (t-12th), along with 90 playoff appearances (14th).
The Nailers host Dayton on Friday for the Guinness Green Out, and St. Patty's Day. All fans who wear green to the game will receive $2 off a game ticket.
