INFERNO COACH'S SHOW: There will be no coach's show this week since the team is in Florida.
THE WEEK AHEAD
Tuesday, March 14th Inferno @ Florida Everblades 7:30pm Germain Arena
This is the seventh of eight games between the Inferno and Florida. This game ends a three game road trip for the Inferno in Florida. The Everblades is tied for second place with 77 points (37-19-3), along with Greenville. Columbia is 2-2-2 against the Everblades this season.
Friday, March 17th Inferno vs. Charlotte Checkers 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum
This is the ninth of ten games between the Inferno and Checkers. The Inferno is 4-3-1 against Charlotte this season and 20-9-5 all-time. Charlotte is in fifth place in the South Division with 61 points (28-27-5).
Saturday, March 18th Inferno vs. Greenville Grrrowl 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum
THE STANLEY CUP WILL BE IN THE BUILDING. Greenville is tied for second place with 77 points (37-21-3), along with Florida. The Inferno is 4-3-1 against the Grrrowl this season and 27-10-4 all-time. This is the ninth of ten games between these two teams.
LAST WEEK Friday, March 10th Inferno 2 FLORIDA 7
Brandon Nolan came out and put the Inferno on the board with less than a minute into the game. Florida answered only seconds later to tie the game at one to end the first period. At the end of two periods, the Everblades went up 4-1. Travis Lisabeth scored as he picked up his own rebound in the third period to narrow the deficit to 4-2. The Everblades scored three unanswered goal in 25 seconds to extend their lead and take the 7-2 win over the Inferno. The Inferno went 0-for-4 on the power play and was outshot 52-27 by the Everblades.
Saturday, March 11th INFERNO 5 Florida 4
Brandon Nolan netted his 17th goal of the season at 8:07 with assists to Mike Stathopoulos and Travis Lisabeth. Florida answered back with two goals at 9:58 and 16:58 of the first period. Jeff Miles scored his first goal in an Inferno uniform at 10:48 of the second period with help from FP Guenette and Marc-Andre Bernier. Florida then scored two more goals to end the second period and maintain the 4-2 lead. Just 30 seconds into the third period Dallas Flaman nets a shorthanded goal with Nolan on the assist as the Inferno narrow the Everblades lead to one goal. Stathopoulos scored his 22nd goal of the season at 8:55 with Nolan and Jason Reimers on the helpers. At 12:15, Miles scores his second goal of the night and the game-winning goal on the power play from Nolan. Florida outshot the Inferno 49-37 and Columbia was 1-for-3 on the power play.
