
Adams heads back to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman John Adams has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Grand Rapids Griffins, and traded to the Cleveland Barons (AHL).
Adams heads to back to the AHL where he has skated in ten games this year between Springfield and Grand Rapids. The rookie out of Boston College most recently spent five games with the Griffins from January 18 through March 5 during three separate call-ups. The 24-year-old originally signed with the Everblades on November 10 and has notched 15 points (1g, 14a) in 37 games with Florida.
Prior to turning pro, the native of Wayzata, Minnesota completed a four-year career with Boston College with 29 points in 136 games. Adams was drafted in the third round by the Buffalo Sabres in 2002.
In addition, the Everblades had forward Vince Bellissimo reassigned to the roster by the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League. The 23-year-old returns after skating in two games with Lowell during his most recent call-up. Overall Bellissimo has scored 14 points (8g, 6a) in 47 games with Lowell this season. The native of Toronto, Ontario rejoins the Everblades where he has notched six points (3g, 3a) in six games.
The Everblades return to action on Tuesday, March 14 when they host the Columbia Inferno at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. The first 5,000 fans will receive an Everblades poster when they enter the arena courtesy of the YMCA.
Everblades 2005-06 group tickets and individual game tickets are on sale now!
