
New England Revolution Academy Highlights: September 16, 2021

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution Academy continued their 2021 MLS NEXT Fall season with all four teams in action last weekend. The Under-17 and Under-15s fell on Saturday to New York City FC Academy and the Under-17s, Under-15s, and Under-14s all had big wins on Sunday against Empire Academy (N.Y.). The Under-19s dropped their lone match of the weekend on Sunday to Empire, 2-1.
Additionally, Revolution Academy midfielder Esmir Bajraktarevic became the seventh youth player to start a professional match for Revolution II and the third Academy player to score in a professional match. Six Revolution Academy graduates also featured for Revolution II in the last contest at North Carolina FC. MLS signees Justin Rennicks and Damian Rivera started the match alongside fellow Academy product Noel Buck, while Colby Quiñones, Hikaru Fujiwara, and Meny Silva all came off the bench.
All four Revolution Academy teams will travel to New York City this weekend for road matches at Met Oval on Saturday and BW Gottschee on Sunday. Revolution MLS NEXT & Alumni Highlights
Midfielder Esmir Bajraktarevic became the third Revolution Academy player to tally a professional goal, scoring 12 minutes into his first pro start for Revolution II on Saturday at North Carolina FC.
Defender and Revolution Academy newcomer Daniel Bede (2003 - Framingham, Mass.) scored his first goal for the program on Sunday for the U-19s.
Forward Caleb Huang (2006 - Hopkinton, Mass.) scored a hat trick and forward Isaie Louis (2005 - Everett, Mass.) added a goal and two assists in a rout for the U-17s over Empire Academy on Sunday.
Forward Benaiah Hanson (2006 - Loudon, N.H.) also factored in with a pair of goals for the U-17s while Alex St. John (2005 - Needham, Mass.) and Angel Ortez (2006 - Revere, Mass.) each had two assists.
Forward Peyton Miller (2007 - Unionville, Conn.) scored two goals and added an assist while midfielder Conrad Sweatman (2007 - Stowe, Vt.) chipped in two assists in a victory on Sunday for the U-15s
Forwards Cristiano Carlos (2008 - Chicopee, Mass.) and Mesud Ramic (2008 - Weare, N.H.) each tallied two goals and an assist in a winning effort for the U-14s on Sunday. Forward Luka Hislop (2007 - Concord, Mass.) added a goal and an assist in the victory as well.
