Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

Omaha catcher Nick Dini and left fielder Jorge Bonifacio each collected two hits in addition to driving in two runs and first baseman Ryan O'Hearn extended his hit streak to ten, while San Antonio center fielder Trent Grisham recorded four hits, including two home runs, and drove in four runs in the Missions' 9-5 win over the Storm Chasers on Sunday evening at Wolff Stadium.

Omaha struck first with a two-spot in the top of the first thanks to run-scoring singles from Bonifacio and DH Samir Duenez. The Missions, however, would counter via a five-run fourth frame capped by Grisham's three-run homer to right-center to grab a 5-2 lead. The Storm Chasers then immediately answered with a trio of tallies in the fifth courtesy of Bonifacio's second RBI single and Dini's two-run double to left.

San Antonio would then take back the advantage in the last of the sixth with three runs of the own, highlighted by back-to-back homers from C Tuffy Gosewisch and Grisham, before plating an additional insurance run in the eighth.

In addition to Grisham (4-5, 3 R, 2 HR, 4 RBI), 1B Hernan Perez (2-4, R, RBI, BB) also posted a multi-hit effort for the Missions. Bonifacio (2-4, R, 2 RBI, BB) and Dini (2-5, 2B, 2 RBI) were joined by CF Erick Mejia (2-5, 2 R) in recording two knocks. O'Hearn reached base three times, including a single, to up his hit streak to ten.

Missions lefty Donnie Hart (2.0 IP, 2 K) earned the win with two shutout frames of relief, with Alex Wilson (2.0 IP, 2 H, K) and Taylor Williams (1.0 IP, BB) combining for the final three innings. Omaha right-hander Zach Lovvorn (3.1 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) suffered the defeat after righty Kyle Zimmer (2.0 IP, 3 BB, 3 K) opened with two scoreless frames.

The Storm Chasers are set to return to Werner Park on Monday, July 15 to start a seven-game homestand with the New Orleans Baby Cakes and Memphis Redbirds. The homestand opener is set to start on July 15 at 7:05pm CT.
