McKenzie Reassigned to Texas Stars

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has reassigned left wing Curtis McKenzie to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

McKenzie, 25, has appeared in three games with Dallas this season, recording four hits and three shots on goal. The forward has registered 51 points (21-30=51) in 58 AHL games this season with Texas. McKenzie currently paces Texas in goals (21) and penalty minutes (116), while he ranks second in points (51), tied for fifth in assists (30) and sixth in plus/minus rating (+10).

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Golden, B.C. was selected by Dallas in the sixth round (159th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center.
