
Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Return to the Road; Close Season Series with Condors Tonight

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), visit the Bakersfield Condors tonight at 7:00 PT at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California. Tonight is the 12th and final regular-season meeting between the two teams this season.
Simply the Best:
Reign goaltender Peter Budaj earned his AHL-leading 40th win of the season last night, making 30 saves in a 4-1 win over the Condors. He joins Ryan Miller (2004-05) as the only two AHL goalies to reach 40 wins in a single season in the last half century!
Series at a Glance:
The Reign are 7-4-0-0 head-to-head overall against the Condors, 3-2-0-0 in Bakersfield and won the last three meetings.
Mersch Continues to Roll:
Reign forward Michael Mersch leads the series one goal and eight assists for nine points and has six assists in his last five games against Bakersfield. He enters tonight's contest on a four-game point streak (two goals, two assists).
Going Streaking:
Forwards Brett Sutter (two goals, one assist) and Kris Newbury (one goal, three assists) each enter tonight's game on three-game point streaks.
