Manitoba Moose Post-Game Report - Manitoba vs. Rockford - April 9/16

Goals:

- John Albert passes cross-ice to Scott Kosmachuk who beats Mac Carruth with a wrist shot at 7:20 of the first period.

- Following a rebound off a shot from Vinnie Hinostroza, the puck comes to Ville Pokka who puts it past Eric Comrie at 6:29 of the second period while the IceHogs are on the powerplay.

- Brendan Lemieux centres the puck to Austen Brassard who beats Carruth with a quick wrist shot at 1:21 of the third period.

- While on the powerplay, Brendan Lemieux bangs in a rebound out front past Carruth at 2:25 of the third period.

- Brandon Denham sends a pass towards the net which is redirected by Sean Escobedo in front past Carruth at 3:58 of the third period.

- Austen Brassard scores into an empty Rockford net from just past centre ice at 18:10 of the third period.

Highlights/Notes:

- Brendan Lemieux recorded the first point of his AHL career with an assist. Just 1:04 later he recorded his first career AHL goal.

- Scott Kosmachuk recorded his sixth multi-point game of the season with a goal and an assist. The goal was his 18th of the season which leads all Moose players.

- Austen Brassard his second multi-goal game of the season. He now has two goals and an assist for three points in his last two games.

- Dan DeSalvo extended his point streak to five games with an assist. He now has 11 points (3G, 8A) in 14 games with the Moose this season.

- Chase De Leo had a point for the third time in four games during the month of April. His assist puts him two points behind Brenden Kichton (currently with the Winnipeg Jets) for the team's scoring lead.

- Sean Escobedo recorded his first goal as a member of the Moose. In his last four games he has a goal and two assists for three points.

- Brandon Denham had his first multi-point game of his AHL career in just his sixth pro game. He has one goal and two assists for three points in his last two games.

- Eric Comrie made 32 saves for the Moose. He currently sits fourth among all AHL goaltenders with 1304 saves this season.

- The Moose lead the season series against the IceHogs with a 3-0-0-0 record.

The Moose play their final home game against the Rockford IceHogs on Sunday, April 10 at the MTS Centre at 2 p.m.
