St. John's IceCaps News Release

ST. JOHN'S - Morgan Ellis blasted home the overtime winner as the IceCaps topped the Utica Comets 3-2 Saturday at Mile One Centre.

Zach Fucale was outstanding for the home side making 47 saves in the victory. Jacob de la Rose and Jeremy Gregoire scored in regulation for the IceCaps, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Rookies Daniel Audette, Simon Bourque and Jeremiah Addison all suited up in their first AHL games. Both Audette and Addison picked up assists in the contest, their first pro points.

Despite the loss, the Comets were able to clinch a playoff berth by earning a point for reaching overtime.

The two teams finish off their eight-game season series Sunday afternoon at Mile One (4:00 PM). Tickets are still available at the box office and online at www.mileonecentre.com.
