
Matt Marquardt Recalled To Providence

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Matt Marquardt ["MAR kwart"] has been recalled to the Providence Bruins of the AHL. Marquardt, a second year pro from North Bay, Ontario, was assigned to the Royals from Providence on December 29, 2009, and registered an assist and two penalty minutes in three games with Reading. In separate transactions, the Royals released Shane Davis as the team's Emergency Back-Up Goaltender and signed him to an ECHL contract.
The Royals return to the ice tomorrow (Saturday, January 9, 2010 @ 7:05) when the Cincinnati Cyclones visit the Sovereign Center for the only time during the 2009-10 regular season. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show at 6:35 pm.
