Marshall Everson Acquired from Gwinnett

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, announced today that they have acquired F Marshall Everson from the Gwinnett Gladiators in exchange for G Kent Patterson.

Everson (6-2, 210 lbs.) is tied for fourth on the Gladiators in scoring with 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists) in 25 games. He led the Gladiators in points last season with 43, while his 21 goals ranked second on the team. Everson attended training camp with the Solar Bears before the 2013-14 season, playing in both preseason contests against the Florida Everblades, tallying one goal to go along with nine PIM. Everson played his first two professional games at the end of the 2012-13 season as a member of the Peoria Rivermen (AHL).

A native of Edina, MN, Everson skated four seasons (2009-13) for Harvard University, finishing tied for second on the team in goals (13) and third in points (32) as a junior during the 2011-12 season. Everson skated in 119 total games with Harvard, scoring 63 points on 31 goals and 32 assists.

Patterson collected a 5-9-2 record to go along with a 3.12 GAA and .901 save percentage in 17 games with the Solar Bears.
