TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (21-10-2-4) begin a four-game road trip with a match against the Idaho Steelheads (23-10-1-3). Both teams have been among the hottest in the ECHL, with each club going eight games without having suffered a regulation loss. The Reign are 3-1-0-1 in Boise this season. Ontario will play two matches at CenturyLink Arena this weekend against Idaho; the two teams will face each other again at the end of the month when the Steelheads visit Citizens Business Bank Arena for three games to complete the regular season series.

CZARNIK IMPRESSIVE IN DEBUT:

Newly-acquired forward Robert Czarnik did not disappoint in his first game in a Reign uniform on Wednesday, showing impressive puck control and movement. He was involved on the play that lead to Rocco Carzo's third period goal, and also netted the eventual shootout-winner for Ontario in the sixth round.

BACK TO THE SCENE OF THE CRIME:

Since a 5-4 shootout win in Boise on Dec. 26, Jussi Olkinuora has won his last four consecutive starts, only yielding nine goals for a .927 save percentage. Olkinuora's next victory for Ontario will match his previous best of 14 from his rookie campaign last season.

CARZO SHAPING UP:

Sophomore forward Rocco Carzo has rounded into mid-season form over the last dozen games, posting six goals and five assists in that span, while typically centering Ontario's second forward line. His performance during this stretch has moved him into eighth in team scoring.

IDAHO OPENS HOT:

A major key to victory for Ontario will be to contain the Steelheads in the first period. Idaho currently leads the league in goals for (46) and against (20) in the opening frame. The Reign are currently fifth in the league with 38 goals for in the first period.
