FLORIDA PART TWO

The three games this week mark the first and only time this season that Oilers will compete against opponents outside of the Central Division.

SWAMP SHOOTOUT

Wednesday night at Germain Arena, the Oilers edged the Everblades for a 6-5 shootout victory in a game marked by offensive firepower and wild swings of momentum. Adam Pleskach led the Tulsa attack with two goals and an assist while Florida forward Chris Kushneriuk tallied a hat-trick to help the Everblades earn a single point. Nine Oilers registered at least a point and Tulsa goalie Kevin Carr shut down all five of the 'Blades shootout attempts to give his squad its fifth shootout win of the season.

GOOD TO BE GONE

The Oilers are 3-0-1 on their current seven-game road trip and have climbed back into a tie for second place in the Central Division with 42 points. During the current, season-long four-game point streak, the Oilers are averaging 4.5 goals per game while allowing just 2.5 goals per game.

GOING THE DISTANCE

The battle with the Everblades on Wednesday was the 11 th Oilers game this season to be decided beyond regulation. Tulsa is tied with Fort Wayne, South Carolina, and Utah for the ECHL lead in overtime games played. The Oilers are tied for second in the league with five shootout victories.

PLESKACH PUSHES AHEAD

By finding the net twice on Wednesday, Oilers winger Adam Pleskach became the ECHL leader with 24 goals on the season. The second-year pro climbed to third in the overall scoring race with 44 points and continues to lead the league in total shots on goal. In the shootout win over the Everblades, Pleskach notched his fifth three-point outing of the season and his sixth multi-goal game of the year.

POWER UP

The Oilers have five power play goals in their last four games and are operating at a 33-percent success rate over that span. Tulsa has enjoyed 174 power plays this season, the second-highest total in the ECHL.
