
MacIntyre Returns To Toledo

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that goaltender Drew MacIntyre has been assigned to the Storm from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. In separate moves, the Storm traded goaltender David Cann to the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL for cash, and placed goaltender Bryan Worosz on waivers.
Drew started his professional career two seasons ago with the Toledo Storm. This season, MacIntyre had an 8-3-0 record in 12 appearances with the Griffins. Drew matched that record with an outstanding 2.53 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. MacIntyre did appear in 2 games with Toledo last season. Last season with Grand Rapids, Drew had a 6-5-0 record, a 2.57 GAA, and a .908 SVP. He also collected his first professional shutout, January 9, 2005, a 4-0 win over Cleveland. Prior to an injury that sidelined him for the rest of the 2003-04 season, MacIntyre had a 6-4-0 record with a 2.61 GAA and a .919 SVP with Toledo.
Cann was 5-7-0 in 13 appearances with Toledo this season. David had a 3.19 GAA and a .896 SVP while with the Storm. Bryan Worosz appeared in 2 Storm games since being signed by Toledo on December 9, 2005 with a 0-1-0 record, a 3.81 GAA, and a .878 SVP.
The Toledo Storm return home Friday night against the Wheeling Nailers.
