Last Weeks Highlights:

12/28/05 > Long Beach 2 vs. Las Vegas 3

The Ice Dogs fell in the third straight game to the Wranglers Wednesday night, again by one goal. Chris Kenady and Mac Faulkner scored for Long Beach, but Justin Aikins saw his 8 game point streak come to an end. Jaroslav Halak got his first loss of the season, despite making 36 saves. The Ice Dogs went 0-7 on the power play and Las Vegas was 1-2.

12/30/05 > Long Beach 6 vs. Phoenix 5

The Ice Dogs got back in the win column Friday night, defeating the Phoenix Roadrunner by a score of 6-5. The Ice Dogs dominated most of the game on the scoreboard, leading 6-3 on goals by Ulanski, Goldie, Urquhart, Kenady, Faulkner, and McAslan. Phoenix scored two goals in the final 3:30 to make it a one goal game. Greg Hewitt got the win for Long Beach with 35 saves, while Mike Mole took the loss for Phoenix with 25 saves. The Ice Dogs were 1-4 on the power play while the Roadrunners went 1-8.

12/31/05 > Long Beach 2 vs. Reading 6

In their first ever trip to Long Beach, the Reading Royals handled the Ice Dogs with a 6-2 victory. Justin Aikins and Christian Larrivee got the only goals for the Ice Dogs, while Chris Kenady had two assists. Jaroslav Halak took the loss with 5 saves, while Greg Hewitt made 15 saves in a relief appearance. Yutaka Fukufuji earned the win for Reading with 40 saves. Long Beach went 1-10 on the power play and Reading was 1-5.

This Weeks' Games:

1/6/06 > Long Beach vs. Bakersfield

The Ice Dogs will continue their longest home stand of the season Friday night versus Bakersfield. Long Beach is 1-0-1 versus the Condors this season with both previous games being played in Bakersfield.

1/7/06 > Long Beach vs. Idaho

The Idaho Steelheads and Long Beach Ice Dogs will play for the fifth time this season on Saturday night. The Ice Dogs are 1-3-0 against the Steelheads, with the home team winning every game so far.

1/8/06 > Long Beach vs. Utah

The Ice Dogs will wrap up their seven game home stand with a game against the Utah Grizzlies on Sunday. The Grizzlies won the last two meetings here, by scores of 5-1 and 2-0.
