
Kings Assign Bartosak to Monarchs

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned goaltender Patrik Bartosak to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Bartosak, who turns 21 years old on March 29 and signed a three-year entry level contract on March 5, was selected by the Kings in the fifth round (146th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.
In 65 regular season games for the Western Hockey League's Red Deer Rebels this season, Bartosak had a 33-26-5 record with a 2.80 goals-against-average, a .924 save percentage, and eight shutouts. His 33 wins tied for fourth in the WHL, while his eight shutouts tied for first.
Bartosak was 33-14-5 with a 2.26 goals-against-average, a .935 save percentage, and five shutouts in 55 regular season games with Red Deer last season. Among WHL goaltenders, he ranked fourth in goals-against-average, second in save percentage, tied for seventh in wins, tied for seventh in shutouts, and fifth in saves (1,695). He was named CHL Goaltender Of The Year, the WHL Top Goaltender, and a WHL East First-Team All-Star.
In 2011-12, Bartosak was 14-10-1 with a 2.74 goals-against-average, a .915 save percentage, and one shutout with Red Deer.
