Jets Re-Assign John Albert to IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have re-assigned forward John Albert to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Albert, 25, played one game for the Jets since his recall on Mar. 6/14. He returns to St. John's where he has played in 51 games so far this season. In that time, the left-handed centre has recorded 33 points (17G, 16A) and 14 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut with the Jets on Dec. 2/13 against the Rangers where he earned his first NHL goal. The Cleveland, OH native has played in eight career NHL games, all with Winnipeg.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round, 175th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
