Last Weeks Highlights:

3/4/05 > Long Beach 1 @ Alaska 2 (SO)

Looking to regain sole possession of first place in the West Division standings Friday night, the Ice Dogs lost ground to the Aces by falling 2-1 in a shootout. Long Beach got on the board first midway through the game when Marco Rosa scored from Joe Cardarelli and Steeve Villenueve. Less than three minutes later, Charles Linglet of the Aces tied the score and it would remain tied through the third and the sudden death overtime period. Alaska won in the shootout, 2-1, to go up two points on the Ice Dogs in the standings.

3/5/05 > Long Beach 5 @ Alaska 4 (SO)

The Ice Dogs pulled back to within a point of first place with a 5-4 shootout win over the Alaska Aces on Saturday night. The Ice Dogs took a 3-0 lead after the first period and Bill Lindsay scored his first hat trick of the season, but two goals in the final 4:28 of the game brought Alaska to a 4-4 tie heading into overtime. Olivier Michaud stopped all five shots he faced in the shootout and Bill Lindsay tallied another to give Long Beach the win.

3/6/05 > Long Beach 3 @ Alaska 6

With another chance to retake first place, the Ice Dogs dropped to third with a 6-3 loss in the final game of a three game series with Alaska. Despite again leading 3-0 after the first period, the Aces stormed back scoring six unanswered goals to win and move three points ahead of Long Beach. Bakersfield also moved a point ahead. The Ice Dogs were out-shot 39-23 for the game. Phil Lewandowski, Bill Lindsay and Michael Lambert scored the goals for Long Beach.

This Weeks' Games:

3/11/05 > Long Beach vs. San Diego

The Ice Dogs will try to get back on track Friday night when they return home to take on the San Diego Gulls. Long Beach is 1-2-1 versus San Diego this season, with their only win coming opening night, a 3-0 victory.

3/12/05 > Long Beach vs. Alaska

The Ice Dogs get a chance to take some revenge on the Aces when they come to town on Saturday night. The Stanley Cup will be in attendance and all fans will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with it. The Ice Dogs are 2-2-1 versus Alaska this season.

3/13/05 > Long Beach vs. Las Vegas

In the final game of a three game home-stand for Long Beach, the Ice Dogs will face the Las Vegas Wranglers. The Stanley Cup will again be in attendance. The Ice Dogs are 5-0-1 versus the Wranglers this season.
