
"The Hockey News" Picks Cloutier As ECHL Top Goalie

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are proud to announce that The Hockey News has selected Ice Pilots goalie Frederic Cloutier as the ECHL's top goalie in their latest March 15th 'Goalie Special' issue.
Cloutier is in his first season with the Ice Pilots and has posted a record of 25-10-3 with a 2.39 goals against average and .929 save percentage in 38 games played so far this season. He is ranked first in the league with 25 wins, second with 1,162 saves and fifth with 2,236 minutes played.
Cloutier's four shutouts this season is an Ice Pilots team record for shutouts by a goalie in one season and is also tied for second in the league this year. His 2.39 goals against average is the 12th best in the league. Cloutier has helped the Ice Pilots to the best record in the ECHL and the most points at 39-13-5 for 89 points.
Cloutier, who is in his fourth professional season, is 23 years old from St. Honore DeBeauce, Quebec and catches right.
The Ice Pilots, who are in a stretch of playing six straight games on the road, will play at Mississippi Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. Fans will be able to listen to the game on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with flagship station AM 1620, Cox Communications Channel 2, www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue and available as a pay per view webcast at www.icepilots.com in conjunction with B2 Networks for only $6.
The Ice Pilots next two home games are Tuesday, March 22 vs. Victoria at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, March 26 vs. Augusta at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 is Florida Lottery Second Chance Night and Saturday, March 26 is IHOP Bunny Toss Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal bunny to the game and toss the bunny on the ice when the Ice Pilots score their first goal. The bunnies will be distributed to kids at local hospital and schools in t! he Pensacola area.
