
Las Vegas Returns Home Friday and Saturday to Face Fresno and San Diego

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 2-1-1 record this past week starting with a 5-2 win in Victoria on Monday night. Wednesday night, Las Vegas was defeated at Idaho 6-2. Friday, the Wranglers lost 3-2 in overtime at Idaho. Saturday night, Las Vegas beat Idaho 5-4 in a shootout.
This week Las Vegas will host the Fresno Falcons on Friday night at 7:05 pm and the San Diego Gulls on Saturday night at 7:05 pm. Friday night, the first 1,500 fans receive a Wranglers Visor sponsored by Fox 5. Saturday night, "Zooperstars" will perform in between periods. Sunday, Las Vegas will play at 5:00 pm in Long Beach.

Victoria, BC â The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Victoria Salmon Kings 5-2 at the Bear Mountain Arena on Monday night. Las Vegas improved to 7-0-0 against Victoria this year. Defenseman Christian Chartier along with forwards Chris Stanley and Shawn Limpright each picked up a power-play goal in the win. Stanley added his second goal in the third period. Rookie Dustin Johner picked up two assists, giving him 14 points in seven games against Victoria. Wranglers' Captain Jason McBain picked up his 400th career point on an assist in the second period.

Las Vegas 2 at Idaho 6
Boise, ID â The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Idaho Steelheads 6-2 at the Bank of America Centre on Wednesday night. Idaho goalie Frank Doyle made 24 saves in the Steelheads win. Idaho defensemen Peter Metcalf and Dan Vandermeer, along with forward Bobby Russell, each had two assists. Idaho forward Tim Verbeek scored two goals and added an assist as Las Vegas fell to 1-7-2 in Boise all-time. Las Vegas defenseman Jason McBain and forward Darren Lynch each scored for the Wranglers in the loss.
Friday, March 4th
Las Vegas 2 at Idaho 3 OT
Boise, ID â The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Idaho Steelheads 3-2 in overtime at the Bank of America Centre on Friday night. Idaho's Warren Peters scored his 15th goal of the season, just 1:16 into overtime for the game-winning goal. Las Vegas moved to 1-7-3 in Boise all-time. Former Wranglers' forward Billy Tibbetts picked up two assists in his debut against his former team. Goalie Frank Doyle made 20 saves for the Idaho win. Forward Chris Stanley and defenseman Mike McBain each scored power-play goals in the Las Vegas overtime loss.

Las Vegas 5 at Idaho 4 SO
Boise, ID â The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Idaho Steelheads 5-4 in a shootout at the Bank of America Centre on Saturday night. Defenseman Ryan Gaucher scored twice and added two assists as Las Vegas finished their eight-game road trip 4-3-1. Goalie Sebastien Centomo made 42 saves for his first win since January 21st. With the win, Las Vegas is now 2-7-3 all-time at the Bank of America Centre. The victory was the team's first since October 17th of 2003, ending a 0-7-3 winless streak in Boise.

Fresno Falcons â (32-18-7, 71 Points) â The Wranglers are 1-4-1 against the Falcons this season. Fresno forwards Shaun Sutter and Jason Weaver lead all scorers in the season series with seven points each.
San Diego Gulls â (29-22-6, 64 Points) â The Wranglers are 1-4-0 against the Gulls this year, including a 1-1-0 mark at the Orleans Arena. The Gulls and the Wranglers are each 4-5-1 in their last 10 games played. Las Vegas is 11-13-2 at home this year, while San Diego is 10-17-3 on the road. Forwards Sylvan Decshatelets and Max Birbraer each lead the Gulls in scoring with 42 points.
Long Beach Ice Dogs â (35-17-6, 76 Points) â The Wranglers are 1-4-2 against Long Beach this season, with their lone win in the season-series coming in Long Beach. Ice Dogs' forward Marco Rosa leads all scorers in the season series with four goals and six assists for 10 points in seven games.
