
Titans tied for fourth after short week

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans went 0-1-1 this past week as the top six teams in the North Division all jockey for a spot in the postseason.
The Titans got into a barnburner with the Greenville Grrrowl on Friday but fell in the shootout 8-7.
The Peoria Rivermen then continued their dominance of the Trenton Titans this season with a 3-0 shutout victory on Sunday at Carver Arena.
Trenton returns to a busy schedule starting with a rematch against the Rivermen on Tuesday. The Titans finish their three-game, road-trip against the Dayton Bombers on Wednesday then return to Sovereign Bank Arena to face the Wheeling Nailers on Friday and the Bombers at 12:00pm on Saturday.
The Trenton Titans are tied for fourth place in the North Division with the Toledo Storm, three points behind the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and three points ahead of the Peoria Rivermen.

- It was a shootout before the shootout as the Titans and the Grrrowl combined for fourteen goals during regulation. Nick Deschenes helped Trenton come back from a two-goal deficit for the third time in the contest, as he scored two goals with extra attacker 1:09 apart to tie score 7-7 with 9.8 left in regulation. Deschenes tied an ECHL season high with his six point (4g, 2a) effort, but it was Mike Brodeur who helped seal the victory for Greenville going a perfect 4-for-4 in the shootout.
Sunday, March 6 @ Peoria L 3-0
Carver Arena
- It was a goaltender's duel until 1:32 of the third period, when Justin Maiser put a backhand over Andrew Allen to break the scoreless tie. Captain Trevor Baker extended the Rivermen's lead to two goals with his 12th of the season with 4:57 remaining in regulation. Tyler Rennette tallied an empty-netter for Peoria to complete the scoring. Michaud stopped all 31 shots he faced as Peoria now has won five in row.

- Game five of seven for the Titans and Rivermen. Peoria has dominated the season series as Trenton trails 0-3-1. Alfie Michaud is undefeated against the Titans, allowing just 3 goals in four games and recording two shutouts. Trenton trails the all-time series 5-9-3.
Wednesday, March 9 @ Dayton, 7:00pm 1350 AM Moneytalk
Nutter Center
- The eighth contest in their ten-game season series. Six of the seven games thus far have been decided by one goal, as the Titans have a 6-0-1 advantage in the season series.
Friday, March 11 vs. Wheeling, 7:30pm 91.3FM-WTSR
Sovereign Bank Arena
- Game seven out of nine versus Wheeling. The Titans have yet to gain a victory in six games again the Nailers (0-4-2). Yvgeny Lazarev has two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and two game-winning goals against Trenton this year. The Titans trail the all-time series 9-11-3.
Saturday, March 12 vs. Dayton, 12:00pm 91.3FM-WTSR
Sovereign Bank Arena
- The ninth match-up of the year against Bombers. Titans goaltenders are 6-0-1 against Dayton with a 2.29 GAA and a .925 save percentage. The Titans trail the all-time series 22-5-2.
