A Hat Trick... of sorts! Gladiators rookie forward Brad Schell posted three assists in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Texas Wildcatters. For Shell, it was the second time this season he posted 3 assists in a game tying his season high set back on November 5th against Mississippi. Schell now ranks 3rd among ECHL rookies for assists this season with 30 on the year.

Quarter of a Century: Jeff Campbell posted his 25th goal of the season in Saturday's 5-2 win over Texas and now shares first among ECHL rookies in goals scored this season. Campbell's 25 goals is also tops among the Gladiators in goals scored.

The "D" in Defense: Defenseman Randy Dagenais continues to pick up points for the Gladiators. He posted a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over Texas and now shares first among ECHL defenseman in goals scored with 13 on the year and is in the top 5 in assists among defensemen with 29. Dagenais also ranks 3rd overall among ECHL defenseman in points with 42 in 55 games this season.

A "good" streak to have! Kris Goodjohn posted his 17th goal of the season in Saturday's 5-2 win over Texas to extend his point scoring streak to 6 games. Goodjohn has recorded at least 1 point in each of the Gladiators past 6 games and currently has 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points during that span. Goodjohn and Peter Flache share first on the Gladiators for longest point scoring streak this season at 8 consecutive games.

Five in a Row! The Gladiators won their 5th consecutive home game on Saturday beating the Texas Wildcatters 5-2. Gwinnett has not lost at home in regulation since a 5-0 shutout back on January 15th to the Mississippi Sea Wolves. Since that loss, the Gladiators are 7-0-3 on home ice and are currently 17-5-5 overall this season at home.

From 3 to 2: The Gladiators allowed just 1 power play goal in 13 attempts this past weekend to move into 2nd place in the ECHL on the penalty kill behind the Peoria Rivermen. The Gladiators have successfully killed off 88.1% of opponents power plays moving ahead of the South Carolina Stingrays (87.9%) into 2nd place. Gwinnett entered the weekend at 87.8% while South Carolina ranked 2nd in the ECHL at 88.6%.

March 4th, Mississippi 3, Gladiators 2 – SOL

Mike Stathopoulos recorded his 9th goal of the season on the power play to tie the game at 1-1 midway through the second period. Chris Durno had his 19th of the season midway though the second period picking up a loose puck in the neutral zone and beating the Mississippi netminder shorthanded. Randy Dagenais and Kris Goodjohn picked up assists on the Gladiators first goal. Gwinnett went 1-for-4 on the power play while Sean Fields made 21 saves in the shootout loss.

March 5th, Gladiators 5, Texas 2 – W

Brad Schell recorded three assists to lead the Gladiators past the Wildcatters. Texas scored first on the power play but Randy Dagenais answered for Gwinnett late in the first period. Jeff Campbell recorded his 25th goal of the season to push the Gladiators ahead in the second period while Peter Flache gave Gwinnett a 2-goal advantage early in the third period. Kris Goodjohn answered Texas' second goal of the game late in the 3rd, just 34 seconds later putting back a rebound on an odd man rush. Andrew Oke rounded out the scoring with an empty net goal with 34 seconds left in the game. Dagenais finished with a goal and an assist while Lane Manson, Jeff Campbell and Chris Durno also picked up assists. Sean Fields made 23 saves in the win for the Gladitors

Tuesday, March 8th, vs. Columbia Inferno, 7:05 p.m. – WDUN News Talk 550

The Gladiators and the Inferno have both played the fewest games in the American Conference at 53. Columbia leads the season series with a 3-1-1 record. The Gladiators lost the last meeting against the Inferno, 4-3, in a shootout on January 28th.

Friday, March 11th, vs. Louisiana IceGators, 7:35 p.m. – wdun.com

It's the Gladiators second annual "Jersey off our Backs" sponsored by Kroger, Charter Communications and 95 Rock. The Gladiators will be wearing special tie dyed jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game with the proceeds going to the Gladiators Foundation for Kids. The Gladiators are 4-1-0 this season against the IceGators this year.

Saturday, March 12th, @ Pee Dee Pride, 7:30 p.m. – WDUN, News Talk 550

Saturday's match up is the first meeting of the season against the Price at the Florence Civic Center. The Gladiators battle the Pride one more time this season in Pee Dee on April 3rd. Gwinnett is a perfect 2-0-0 this season against the Pride with both wins coming at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Five different players share the team lead in scoring on the Gladiators against Pee Dee with 2 points, while just five players have recorded a point for the Pride this season against Gwinnett.

Sunday, March 13th, vs. South Carolina Stingray, 4:05 p.m. – WDUN News Talk 550

The Gladiators January 29th game has been rescheduled due to inclement weather for Sunday, March 13th at 4:05 p.m. Fans are reminded to KEEP THEIR TICKETS. Fans will simply use the same ticket from January 29, 2005 for the rescheduled game on Sunday, March 13, 2005. Cam Brown Bobble Head night, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, January 29th, has also been rescheduled for Sunday, March 13th as the Gladiators host the South Carolina Stingrays at the Arena at Gwinnett Center at 4:05 p.m. Cam Brown Bobble Head Night is sponsored by Clayton Dental, 104.7 FM TheFish and Charter Communications. Gwinnett is 4-1-0 this season against South Carolina and have outscored the Stingrays by a combined 27-17 margin this year.
