Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
LONG BEACH, CA (January 20, 2006) - The Long Beach Ice Dogs today launched their "Howl Of A Good Time" campaign as they head into the weekend for a pair of games. Currently riding a season-high, four-game win streak, the Ice Dogs are expecting one of the largest crowds of the year on Saturday as they take on their hated rival, the San Diego Gulls, at 7:00 p.m. Then on Sunday, the Victoria Salmon Kings return for a 5:00 p.m. face-off.
As part of this campaign, which will begin this Saturday and continue through the remainder of the season, fans will be treated to a variety of new game experiences including:
Group Autographed Jersey Giveaway
All groups that attend an Ice Dogs game through the remainder of the season will receive entry forms for an autographed jersey drawing each night. From the entries received, one lucky group attendee will be selected during the game to receive the prize.
In-Game Interviews
During select stoppages of play, fans will have the opportunity to hear real-time, in-game commentary from Head Coach Malcolm Cameron and various Ice Dogs players.
New Intermission Games
Throughout the remainder of the season, the Ice Dogs will be introducing fun, new intermission games. First up on Saturday, the Los Angeles Kings Booster Club will be participating in a Balloon Toss that is sure to "make a splash".
Special Theme Nights
The Ice Dogs will be holding a variety of Theme Nights through the remainder of the season, including "Star Wars" Night, Men's Fitness Night, the annual Police & Fire Night and a joint promotion with the Los Angeles chapter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
"As we begin the second half of the season, we want to give fans a new look in terms of our game experience," stated Ice Dogs Owner Barry Kemp. "We have a lot of great ideas we are going to roll out in the coming weeks and I think fans will enjoy the positive changes we are making toward the overall game experience. In keeping with our new slogan, we want to make sure our fans have a âhowl of a good time' when they watch the Ice Dogs."
