Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans used two-third period goals to rally for a 2-1 victory over the Dayton Bombers and end a three-game skid in front of 4,555 at Sovereign Bank Arena.

Trailing 1-0 heading into the third period, Scott Bertoli helped lead the Titans down the comeback trail. Brian McConnell intercepted a clearing attempt by Dayton goalie Mike Ayers and threw it toward the open net when Bertoli batted it in for his twelfth goal of the year.

Chris Pittman put Trenton ahead for good at 10:11 of the third when he took a drop pass from Ned Havern and snapped a wrist shot that snuck by the glove of Ayers.

Titans netminder Dustin Traylen helped the lead stand allowing only Tim Konsorada's power play goal at 12:48 of the first period. Traylen finished with 17 saves to raise his record to 11-6-0.

Trenton outshot Dayton 40-18 for the game and went 5-for-6 on the penalty kill.

Trenton and Dayton finish their two-game against on Saturday, January 21 at 7:00pm. Tune into 91.3 FM-WTSR or go to www.trentontitans.com to hear all of the Titans action.
