Ice Pilots Lose 4-1 At Florida

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots lost to the Florida Everblades 4-1 on Friday night at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida.

Kevin Bergin scored a power play goal tipping in a shot from in front of the net sent by Corey Neilson at the 1:48 mark of the first period to give Florida a 1-0 lead.

Chris Lee scored his seventh goal of the season at the 2:53 mark of the second period to give Florida a 2-0 lead. Daniel Sisca went by the Ice Pilots defense and scored a power play goal at the 13:43 mark to make it a 3-0 lead.

Brian Collins scored his eighth goal of the season at the 17:46 mark of the second period to put the Ice Pilots on the scoreboard and make it a 3-1 game. Kevin Bergin scored his second goal of the game at the 17:14 mark of the third period as Florida went on to win 4-1.

The Ice Pilots had 33 shots on goal, 10 penalty minutes and went 0-8 on the power play. Florida had 37 shots on goal, 22 penalty minutes and went 2-4 on the power play. Todd Ford was the losing goalie for the Ice Pilots and Kevin Nastiuk picked up the win in goal for Florida.

The Ice Pilots record drops to 15-21-3 for 33 points and Florida improves their record to 26-10-2 for 54 points.

The Ice Pilots return home Saturday night vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. A post game autograph session with the entire team will take place. Nemours Children's Clinic will sponsor a baby crawl contest during one of the intermissions.
