Augusta Lynx News Release

Yet another player from the Augusta Lynx has been recalled to the American Hockey League this week, with rookie defenseman Eric Lundberg getting the call to the Albany River Rats.

The 22-year-old Vernon, Conn. native is in his rookie season with the Lynx, where he has appeared in 35 games this year with three goals, 10 points, and a +6 rating. This will be his second taste of AHL action, having appeared in two games for the Syracuse Crunch in December, where he finished with no points, two minutes in penalties, and an even rating.

Lundberg is one of six Lynx players to reach the AHL this year on call-up, along with forwards Nicolas Corbeil, Joel Stepp, Jamie Johnson, and Ryan Lang, and goaltender Mike Wall, who has also spent time in the National Hockey League with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

The Lynx open a stretch of seven games away from home tonight against the South Carolina Stingrays, with faceoff slated for 7:05 pm. Augusta will then sojourn to Florida to take on the Everblades at 7:30 pm Saturday night. The Classic Stucco and Stone Pre-Game Show kicks off one half-hour before game time on your Home for Lynx Hockey, NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630. Augusta's next home game will be Friday, February 10th against the Charlotte Checkers.
